To kill a mockingbird
by Harper lee
is an enjoyable read, Told from the view of Scout Finch, 6 at the time, she recalls life in her town as she knew it in maycomb in 1930 Alabama. Living with her Father, Atticus and her brother Jem and the colored maid Calapurnia. Her mother had died when she was 2 of a heart attack.
Maycomb is a small town, in the summer its hot and theirs nothing really to buy and no money to buy it with. Scout Brings you into her town very invitngly as she tells you about it. Her Father Atticus is a lawyer, and he's older.
And theirs the ladies of the town, Miss Stephenie and Miss Rachel, the town gossip and Miss Maudie who Scout and Jem admire. Then theirs Dill, who comes one summer, almost 7 years old, and they become friends and go on many adventures.
The kids are always interested in the Boo Radley place, Its an old house, and Rumors had said that Boo Radley had killed his father and feasted on dead squirrels and he drewled, was half crazy. Mrs. Radley was only seen when she was watering her Canna's. But that was only rumors and they Scout expresses her wants to see Boo and recounts their escapades trying to get him out of the house just to see him.
And then theirs the courtcase, Atticus is the defending lawyer of Tom Robinson, the black man who was accused of raping a white lady Mayella Ewell but he didn't do it.
Its a great classic and you will read it over and over again, and its a great read that you'll laugh and love it.
And their is a movie about it too! thats a good movie too!
