guest post by Grace

One day, I was looking for blogs and i found this girl's blog, Grace.

and I asked her if she wanted to guest post and here she is now!

Hi everyone!

My name is Grace, and I blog over at His Daughter.  I would first like to thank Rachel for letting me do this post!  She is so sweet to let me do this, and I really appreciate it.

Today I am going to be talking about purity.  It is vitally important in your personal walk with Jesus.  I think that having a pure heart and soul is so rare to find these days, especially in young women.   At schools today, it is almost necessary for many to lose their personal purity by the time they graduate.  Wherever did this come from?  What happened to the days where we had more daughters who were committed to purity rather than trying to see who can give theirs away first?  The definition of 'pure' states:

Pure [pyoor]
adjective
definition- free from anything of a different, inferior, or contaminating kind;clear;free from blemishes

One of my favorite books is called "Before You Meet Prince Charming: A Guide to Radiant Purity", by Sarah Mally(an amazing book!).  On page 118-119 of chapter 6, she gives some outstanding pointers to help you wait.

"Give up your own dreams and expectations.  Actually, you don't have to give them up;but rather, exchange them.  Exchange your dreams for something far better-God's perfect plan.  Choose to will what God wills(Mt. 10:39)
.....
Rejoice in this time of waiting.  I know it is hard.  It's hard for me too.  As I mentioned, waiting is one of the most difficult things God asks up to do.  Sometimes, it feels like you just can't wait any longer.  But struggles and trials are important parts of our lives.  Scripture commands us to rejoice in these times of trials(Jas. 1:2; 1 Pet. 4:12-13)"

My sister read a book one time that talked about purity as a 'package'.  You are perfectly wrapped, with a special bow on top.  But, the more you let boys touch and take advantage of you, the more your package gets ripped and torn.  By the time you get to your actual wedding day, you have nothing left to give your husband besides a worn and torn up package.

But, most importantly is that God will take you, however many mistakes that you have made, and whatever you are going through right now.  He is so gracious and kind to give you many chances, and will always, always, ALWAYS forgive you.  I know that we have all make mistakes, and I have made more than I can even count.  But, the Lord grants us forgiveness, so that we can be with Him forever!

So, today, remember that God has a spectacular plan for your life, and no matter how hard waiting is, God has a big reward for those who wait with joy!

Your sister in Christ,
Grace

Hi!  My name is Grace and I live in the South.  My parents names are Mark and Tammy and I have 2 lovely sisters.  I love to (believe it or not) hunt, fish, knit, read my Bible, sew, crochet, play with my dogs, dance, music........... I could go on and on!  But one thing that I LOVE to do is spend time with Jesus.  He is my Rock and my Shelter.  I would have no hope without Him.
I have 9 dogs and 2 cats.  We live on 25 acres in the country.  About three years ago, the Lord blessed us with a new house.  I am thankful to call it home.  Over the years, the Lord has truly blessed us, and that is very clear.  Our family's life verse is Psalms 27.  It tells everything that we have gone through.
