Faithful friday- Remember Paul?

participating here with joy  you can too if you want. just tell her!

Remember Paul? the apostle Paul who wrote a lot of the books of the New Testement.... He was quite the guy. preached to lots of people, encouraged the growing church, got in a few ship wrecks.

But remember how he became to be known as Paul?

Remember how he was Saul before?
he was responsible for killing Stephen, A leader in the Church.  read  Acts nine for the story.
read it for yourself.

"But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you" - Jesus of Nazareth, as recorded in Matthew 5:44

You look at the leaders of the world who persacute Christians, their mean to them. you don't have to go far, go to South America,

It donned on me

what if we prayed for those who persecute us? What if they became Christians? that would be cool and amazing.
Think its impossible for that to happen? just look at Paul's story, Thats amazing story.

  1. Rachel,

I know! Paul became one of the most influential Christians in history...and I sometimes forget how he started out!

Have you ever heard of Lottie Moon? She was a missionary to China a long time ago. There was a lot of persecution there, too. I read a biography about her, and it told about this elderly man that became a Christian. His family tried to force him out of being a Christian and couldn't, so finally they decided to try to talk him out of it. They hired the man's nephew to come read the Bible to him, to try to convince him that it was all stories. But as the nephew read the Bible to him, he started believing in Jesus...years later, that nephew became a huge preacher in China, preaching to and baptizing hundreds of people across the nation!

Paul just made me think of him. :)

    Thanks for participating!

    God bless you!
    Joy :)
